Local business provides help

Willie Kok, owner of COM Printers

Randfontein business-owners, Willie and Beth Kok, recently made an enormous contribution that will help many and Carryou Ministry was one of the beneficiaries.
"We celebrated out 20th year of business in the town and wanted to say thank you and give something back to the community," says COM Printers, owner, Willie. "We do work for a number of local NGOs and believed a good way to help, would be to write off their debts so they could use the money owed to continue their vital work."
"Cancelling what we owed was a huge help," says Rev Lawrence Mabaso, Carryou Ministry General Manager, "and we are deeply grateful."
In addition to the help given to Carryou, Beth and Willie will also supply 250 Christmas meals to two other local charities, as well as 50 teddy bears and will continue with a diary fund-raising project started by Beth, 18 years ago.
"Each year we are able to raise around R150 000 for Epworth Homes and some private childrens' homes," says Willie. "Diaries we print are sold by the Methodist Church and every cent raised is used to assist the homes. We recover only our materials and production costs."
